Pirate Kings is one of the casual games owned by Playtika. It is a slot based game, where you need to build your island, attack other pirates islands and steal from the cash king.

My role is to provide various graphic visuals and assets according to monetization team plan and other game needs. In addition Pirate Kings has a very strong Facebook and VIP community. This is also my responsibility to provide visuals according to their needs.

Mothers day
About:
In Pirate Kings there is a bar on the slot machine which fills up while player is spinning. There are several bars and they provide different prizes when filled. In order to enrich the gameplay experience we wrap the feature in different themes and build promos around it to give more reason to play and push our players to spin more.

The brief:
Create a promo in Mothers Day theme. Tell players there are milestones on random bars which contain prizes.
​
Art concept:
The theme of the promo is Mothers Day and the main question was "What would excite all mother's all over the world?". The solution was - memories. We came with the concept of Jack (main game character) making a DIY photo album to his mother. Photos are the milestones, main headers and prizes presented as stickers, pages of the album decorated with childish paintings.

st' patrick's pot of loot
The brief:
Create a promo in St' Patrick's Day theme. Tell players there are milestones on random bars which contain prizes.

Art concept:
Players need to spin, fill loot bars and collect St' Patrick's keys. Keys open pots of loot with different prizes. Keys and pots have different rarity. The higher the loot bar completed, the higher the rarity of the key discovered, the higher the loot pot and the prize it holds.

Ice Breaker Rolling Promo
The brief:
Create a rolling promo of several challenges which shows players their progression. Winter theme.

Art concept:
I didn’t want to go with a generic winter-Christmas presents concept, so I decided to make Jack, the main character of the game, an icebreaker. The prizes for each challenge are frozen inside icebergs, so when a challenge is completed, Jack cracks open an iceberg to reveal a prize. Each challenge is designed with a winter theme, instead of the usual summer one.

New feature launch
Promotional Island
Promotional Island is an in-house name for a new feature in the game. It is based on techniques of an island, where you need to upgrade the items provided. The theme of the feature changes every time it's uploaded to the game.
The first time it was uploaded under the name of "Jack's Cabin" and players needed to upgrade Jack's items on the table.

Pirate adventure
Pirate Adventure is a core feature of the game. There are several maps, each map has numerous steps, on each step there are enemy ships. The purpose is to bomb that ships and get to the end of the map. A Grand Prize is waiting for you at the end of each map!
The goal was to raise the involvment to the feature, which was done by creating a story which accompain the journey of the players.

and the story is...
Red, who is the biggest enemy of Jack and Julliete (main characters of the game), steals the jewels from the Cash King crown and hid them in different fairy worlds. Julliete, a strong and powerfull pirate girl, going on an advanture to beat Red and return the Crown Jewels. She has to pass each of the fairy worlds and find the crown jewels.

Pirate Powers Icons
The idea was to refresh a bit and increase a reason to play by adding new symbols to the slot machine. When player reachs the symbols on the loot bar his prizes enlarged in accordance to the economy every time he hits the symbol on the slot. The "power" of the symbols is time limited.
I had three sketches of the icons to work with, the task was to create a series of icons and a logo.

pirate album logos
A pirate album is a feature where players collect cards through gameplay, achievements, or in-game purchases. The album typically allows players to track their collection progress and unlock rewards for completing sets or the entire album. Players may also have the opportunity to re-complete the album for additional rewards.
Each album has its own main theme and a logo presented in two versions.
